One of my favorite rooms in the senior center is the activity room when the ladies from Nimble Fingers or Quilting Bees are hard at work. When walking past the doorway one can always hear laughter and chatter. I was glad to have an excuse to sit with the participants of Quilting Bees and to hear about the projects they are currently working on. Nancy Wenhold and Jeanette McLeod were in the process of planning out a table runner. I was fascinated by all of the calculations and forethought that went into their planning. Quilting, especially quilting by hand, is an impressive skill indeed! The Quilting Bees are so glad to now have Jeanette McLeod's participation in their meetings as she graciously offers the wisdom that years of quilting have given her.
If you love to quilt or are interested in learning more about quilting I highly recommend stopping in and visiting the Quilting Bees. I promise you will be welcomed warmly and given the opportunity to learn a new skill or two.
Quilting Bees meets every Monday from 12pm-4pm.
