Warren Bishop, a regular at the Tallahassee Senior Center, is a firm believer in the benefits of a life devoted to curiosity. This curiosity and love of learning has prompted Warren to enroll in many of the computer classes offered here at the center. He began with basic keyboarding and hasn’t stopped since. Warren describes the classes as engaging and fun, and is quick to praise Noal Weiland and Jaclyn Williams, his two instructors. Warren has loved the computer classes so much that in between class offerings he spends his time reading about computers and how to use them.
Here at the Senior Center we offer a wide variety of classes focusing on different computer skills. Classes range from topics such as email, Internet, and Microsoft Word. Throughout the month of July “Technology for Brain Health and Better Living” will be offered on Tuesdays from 9 – 10am. This course teaches participants how to use social media, email, and video chat in order to keep in touch with family and friends.
